Remote Trauma’s inaugural showcase event is a great success

Wednesday 13th June 2007 saw 26 people from various industries attend a showcase event. Attendees ranged from various large NGO’s, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the BBC, through to a range of broadcasters and independents including Endemol, Diverse Television, RDF & CNN.
The purpose of the event was to highlight the various types of training, advice and support Remote Trauma offers to organisations wanting to work overseas. The day saw delegates observing and dealing with a serious road traffic accident through to negotiating their way past a difficult vehicle checkpoint manned by armed drunk African Rebels.
Two highly accomplished guest speakers Rebecca Harris & Sir Richard Noble OBE recounted their experiences of how Remote Trauma’s training and support helped out with the planning, preparation and execution of a trip abroad and, in one case, how the individual dealt with a serious road traffic accident in Africa.
The day was a huge success and we were delighted that so many very busy Senior Executives managed to spare the time to come and participate in a new and exciting style of training. Our aim is to educate, advice and encourage individuals in an informative and interactive way which will give them the tools to do the job and the confidence to deal with hostile scenarios, no matter what their background and expertise.
